SAHA Studio opened its doors to visitors on Thursday, December 19th.

Established by SAHA in the summer of 2019 to provide a working space for artists and curators, SAHA Studio opened its doors to visitors on Thursday, December 19th between 14.00 – 20.00.

Artists Larissa Araz, Alper Aydın, Özgür Demirci and Sibel Horada met with art professionals and visitors for the first time to introduce the projects they have developed at SAHA Studio since its inauguration in August, whilst sharing further insight on their ongoing artistic practices. SAHA Studio’s selection committee of Çelenk Bafra, Hera Büyüktaşçıyan and Vasıf Kortun have selected the participating artists of the first semester that concludes on 15 February 2020 upon receiving recommendations from five independent art initiatives situated outside Istanbul, in which SAHA is currently in collaboration with.

For a period of six months, the invited participants are provided with individual working spaces, curatorial support, research and production funds, whilst having the opportunity to participate in exhibition tours, curator meetings, seminars, research trips and co-learning programs organized by SAHA.
